Dear Sponsor,

            Thank you for your support in the Biggest Automotive Event north of Edmonton. Drag Wars 2009 looks to be a fantastic year with the support of the Rotary Clubs of Grande Prairie and our main event sponsor Pats Auto.  Look for a new Wheel Stander, 2 NEW Jet Trucks, Old School Heads Up on Saturday and more.

            Parking is always at a premium so we are offering our No Charge Park & Ride from the GPRC parking lot should you choose not to drive.  The VIP Parking and entrance is now on the north side of the Drag Strip so please look at your parking pass for the details.  General Admission gate is still on the south side of the track in the same location as previous events.

To enter the grounds simply redeem your VIP or General Admission ticket at the gate for your wristband.  VIP wristbands are valid for a single day admission and all fans need to have a VIP wristband to enter the "Sportswear Plus" VIP tent, even children.  As usual the Nitehawk Ski Hill will be hosting your food and Coke Cola Beverages thanks to Northern Bottling all water will be complimentary.  Due to excessive indulgences by guests in the past events we have had to put a limit on the food consumption. Please let your guests know to expect complimentary food and beverages but it will not be unlimited as it was in the past.   Also there is no alcohol or smoking on the active side(runway side) of the airport. Any guests violating these rules will be asked to leave.  VIP's can travel to the north gate to the designated smoking area.

PLEASE NOTE

1.                  If you have banner space as part of your sponsor package (Silver, Gold, Platinum) please drop your banner off at Pat's Auto   NO LATER THAN August 6^th, 2009.

2.                  To increase your exposure to our racers and fans you can provide crowd giveaway items, or contribute to the racers packages, please follow the same procedure as #1, as well as stipulate whether it is for the racers or the crowds.

3.                  Once onsite:

• There will be a check-in point where you will trade the ticket for a wristband (which must be worn at all times while on the grounds). General Admission & VIPs will be valid for one day and are non-transferrable.
• VIP's will also need to sign the Insurance waiver at that time.
• Children under 12 are admitted to the grounds for FREE when accompanied by an adult, however to enter VIP tent all children must have a VIP pass to get a VIP wristband. No children may enter without it.
• VIP's will have full access to V.I.P. tent, Bleachers, and Hospitality tent, as well as all grounds and pit area.

4.                  Please be mindful crossing the staging lanes, and moving through the pits, as race and support vehicles will be moving through at all times. VEHICLES HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY!!!!!

5.                  BE AWARE; Alcohol, Smoking, Pets, Rollerblades, and Skateboards are strictly prohibited.

6.                  Please remember that these procedures and restrictions are in place for your safety and the safety of others.

7.                  DVD's from the 2007  event are for sale at the VIP tent and the Memorabilia Tent in the infield.   Take time to browse our memorabilia tent as we have t-shirts, hoodies, hats and limited edition print Old School Heads Up shirts.
